Natsuko, where were you born?
I was born in Kyoto, Japan.

Do you come from a musical family?
No, I don’t. But my father played the guitar in a local band.

What was your very first stage appearance?
I first played at the school festival when I was 16.

Which bassist do you most admire?
I admire John Deacon, John Paul Jones, John Entwistle, Pat Badger, and Grog.

Tell us about your instruments/amp/gear?
Musicman Sterling (black sparkle), Musicman Sterling (candy red), Musicman Sterling (translucent red), Fender PJR70 (black), Guyatone Exciter, Boss bass chorus, Boss TU-2, Boss bass overdrive

. . . and your current band?
Veronica’s Violet is the band I started and I’ve been playing ever since. We are now a trio: Bass, Drums and Guitar, and we play alternative heavy rock.

What are your hobbies outside music?
Travel, cooking, gardening, aromatherapy, dance (belly dance, flamenco), watching musicals, fashion shows ( I’m a model too).

What is your band’s latest CD/album?
Veronica’s Violet (This is the first, self-titled album of my band)
